キク ・ 菊 ・ kiku
Chrysanthemum. A large colorful flower with many petals. Kiku come in many varieties ranging from roundish (ball) shaped flowers with many small petals to flowers that have long spider like petals. The leaves of the kiku have 5 roundish points. Kiku is the national flower of Japan and is used in the imperial family crest. The flower represents longevity.
